Vancouver/Victoria, 2009

These photographs were taken during our road trip to Vancouver and Victoria in summer 2009; I was attending the Canadian eLearning Conference at UBC so we thought we should visit all my friends in Vancouver and Victoria. Big kudos to Hardave who drove straight for 12 hours from Edmonton to Vancouver.

UBC Botanical Garden

We had some nice visits in Vancouver with April, Jordan, MingJin and Tony; I got to eat my favourite Taiwanese food too! Otherwise, we didn't do too much. Oh, we did go to the Granville Island but that was about it.

After a week in Vancouver, we hopped on the BC Ferry and went over to Victoria. We stayed with Lori and Nick; they put on a BBQ party for us and invited many of our mutual friends from our good-old-days working at COUS, that was very fun. Otherwise, we visited the new Shaw Ocean Discover Center at Sidney and spent a LOT of time visiting with my old co-workers at the UVic. I wonder how many times Hardave were asked if he was born in Edmonton ...
