Poor blog, I know I have been ignoring you for quite sometime now but I suddenly have a strong urge to describe the things that had happened to me last week because they made me very happy.
I have been having lower back pain for about two weeks now and finally I got the courage to see a chiropractor and it really helped. I was a bit skeptical before but she first corrected my seating and standing posture, massage my back a little and did two "adjustments" to "open" up my hip joints and it felt instantly better. Continued with cold and heat pad, massage therapy and core strengthening exercises, I am feeling so much better now.
We had an event at work on Thursday where we had to move and put away 15 folding tables; I have a poor sore back so I pleated for help with a group of students standing outside of their classroom waiting for their next class to start, 2 jumped up immediately without any hesitation to help!
Friday night was consisted of East Indian buffet and Battle LA with good friends; I cried a little during the movie because it made me think of my grandparents, how they fought in WWII and had to leave everything behind in China when they fleet to Taiwan. It also reminded me of the war that is happening right now; although Canadian Forces are not engaging in active combat, peace keeping in unstable countries has its price ... Every Remembrance Day, local newspaper lists all soldiers who passed away while on active duty in the past year, I carefully comb through their names and many of them were so young ...
Today I had my 4th (out of total of 5) skiing lesson at Snow Valley and because of the nice weather, the ski hills are super busy and in the midst of confusion, my class (of 1 instructor, 2 students) accidentally cut in front of a middle age lady and she told us angrily to get to the back of the line; a elementary school girl behind her offered to let us go ahead of her ... hum!

I've tried chiropractors, physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, and yoga for my back. I think the person may be more important than the discipline. I have a misaligned facet at T4, and now that I know the problem, I can sometimes pop it back into place myself. I'm glad you found something to help yourself.
I love your pictures of bird from your post below.
